• The 9/11 Museum provides a way to learn from disaster without directly suffering its effects. Disaster forces people to rediscover the most important elements of their lives. Most of these elements involve relationships.

• On September 11, 2001, many people suffered the loss of close relations such as friends and family. One take-away from the museum is the rediscovery of how important our family and friends are in our lives.

• Another take-away is the example of the firefighters who gave their own lives to save others. They upheld their commitments to their city and their country, to something bigger than themselves. This is a key component of the pillar of citizenship in The Grade.
