< March: Effective Studying

APRIL: true manliness

Main Points of Class

  • Fatherhood is one of the four big tasks of life.

  • Most men consider their life successful and happy if they have a good marriage and their children are raised well.

  • Marriage requires an ability to make commitments and sacrifices. Your years as a student are a special time to learn and practice these virtues: appreciating your parents and siblings, being accommodating with others, keeping your word, etc.

  • You were made to be a father, both biologically and spiritually. You were meant to lead a family, support a family, and protect a family.

  • Fatherhood is not long off. It requires preparation, and this preparation begins now.

In-class activity: Table Manners, Part 1

  • People appreciate when table manners are lived, but many people do not know how to live them.

  • Living table manners is not about following strict rules of behavior for their own sake, but for making life pleasant for the people around us.
